We are a small business with 5 employees.Our alarms were competently installed and monitored for 9 years by Vivitar Security.

When Bay Alarm purchased Vivitar two years ago, they tripled our monitoring fees from $255 per quarter to $725 per quarter. The local Bay Alarm office proved to be incompetent configuring our two specialized UL 2050 alarms for monitoring and serious problems were discovered both times that Underwriter Lab physically inspected the alarms. During the two years that we were monitored by Bay Alarm we paid $5398 in monitoring fees for their inferior service. When we sold the building and tried to close the contracts, Bay Alarm sent us a bill for an additional $9200!

If Bay Alarm had not purchased Vivitar, we would have paid only $5100 for 5 years of service.

I do not recommend using Bay Alarm.They will make it impossible to cancel monitoring when you discover problems with their service or no longer require the alarms.
